December SecureDrop Hackathon at EFF

November 29, 2017

Come work on SecureDrop at the Electronic Frontier Foundation at 815 Eddy St in San Francisco on Thursday December 7th at 6-9pm!

SecureDrop is a whistleblower submission system that media organizations use to securely accept documents from and communicate with anonymous sources. Originally written by Aaron Swartz, it has been maintained by Freedom of the Press Foundation since 2013. Dozens of news organizations including the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Intercept, and many others now use SecureDrop.

We welcome contributions of all kinds! In addition to writing code and documentation (SecureDrop is written in Python, Ansible, Bash and HTML/SASS/js), we also need help translating SecureDrop into other languages.

Pizza will be provided, and there will be vegan and vegetarian options!

You must RSVP on Eventbrite to attend. Space is limited.
