We’re pleased to announce that SecureDrop Client 0.12.0, part of the SecureDrop Workstation, has been released. Changes that users should be aware of are below; a complete list of changes can be found on GitHub.

What’s new in SecureDrop Client 0.12.0?

This release includes includes the following changes:

• Support viewing .heic and .avif image files (#2110)
• Fix conversion to PDF prior to printing for Office files (#2119)
• Provide more user feedback in printing workflow by adding button hover states and animation (#2125)
• Improve Export Wizard’s handling of repeated button-clicks (#1926, #2098)
• Update the openssl Rust crate (#2131)

Users will receive these updates the next time they run the updater.

Note: This release targets Qubes 4.2, and is not available for Qubes 4.1-based systems. Please contact Support if you need assistance migrating to Qubes 4.2.
