Update (July 31, 2024): The forum has now been shut down.
The SecureDrop team is planning to shut down the SecureDrop forum at https://forum.securedrop.org/ on July 30, 2024.
To discuss SecureDrop or reach out to the SecureDrop team, we recommend using our public Gitter/Matrix channel or one of our GitHub repositories.
News organizations and other SecureDrop operators can also use our private Support Portal.
Translators can reach us via the built-in Weblate communication mechanisms and Localization Lab’s own communication channels, like Mattermost.
Background
Over the past few years, the forum has gradually fallen into disuse, while becoming a growing maintenance burden. We would like to consolidate our communications platforms so users are guided to a place where they’re more likely to receive useful responses and feedback.
We may enable GitHub Discussions in the future if there is sufficient desire and demand for such a feature.
Archival
Archive Team has graciously scraped the entire forum, which is now available in the Wayback Machine — thank you! We will also retain a private copy of the forum database indefinitely, in case anything needs to be retrieved from it.
